Wang Libo Represents Well-known Actor in Personal Injury Case

Wang Ting, a well-known actor who starred in major movies and TV series including “My Long March”, “Night Raid”, “Warrior”, “Criminal Police”, and “Track Till the End” received second degree burns on his face and arms and covering 8% of his body during the filming of TV drama “Sorghum Turns Red” in May 2009. The cause of accident was due to the misuse of fireworks. Accordingly, as Wang Ting’s stipulated remuneration of 700,000 Yuan in “Sharp Knife” was a known sum lost through tortious action, there is no need to refer to past income to determine compensation. The court found that as actual loss could be determined, Wang Ting’s claim for compensation of 700,000 Yuan (after tax) is valid and other claims should be overruled.
