Associate Zhao Min Participates in the “3.15 International Day for Protecting Consumers' Rights Colloquium"

On March 14, 2010, State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the PRC (SAIC) and China Consumers'Association jointly held the 3.15 International Day for Protecting Consumers'Rights Colloquium in Beijing. SAIC deputy director general Wang Dongfeng attended the discussion and gave the main speech. Principal leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Health, State Administration Office of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the State Council Legislative Affairs Office and other related departments gathered in one room with media, business and consumer representatives to sum up and discuss the work of protecting consumer rights and interests in 2009, and draw up a plan for works on consumer rights protection in 2010.

Consumers'Association of the Beijing Lawyers Associations member and Dacheng Senior Partner Zhao Min was the only consumer representative invited to participate in the colloquium. She suggested that consumers must not be afraid to assert their rights, and do so sensibly, that the government must further improve on "Consumer Protection Law" and safeguard consumer privacy, and more, receiving widespread praise from participating leaders and representatives
