Dr. Fan Jiahe Joins Shanghai Cross-Strait Legal Research Center as Special Researcher

On March 19th 2010, the Shanghai Cross-Strait Legal Research Center was established at the East China Normal University．Government representatives from the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, Shanghai Municipal Committee, Shanghai city government, the principal of the East China Normal University and East China University of Political Science and Law, and celebrated lawyers from the mainland and Taiwan attended the ceremony.

Dacheng Cross-Strait Legal Services Center Executive Director Dr. Fan Jiahe attended the opening ceremony by invitation and was appointed as a Special Research Fellow of the Center. The Center will participate in the research and evaluation of bilateral legal issues concerning Taiwan and mainland residents and businesses, the communication and provision of Taiwan-related legal services and policy advice, as well as the training and development of legal professionals in various practice areas whose work concern Taiwan.
 
Shanghai Cross-Strait Legal Research Center is a research institution focused on cross-Strait legal matters and is formed under the joint supervision of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Shanghai People’s Government and the East China Normal University.
