Cross-Strait Intellectual Property Rights Protection Lecture Series Successfully Held at Xiamen Stop

On March 21, 2010, the Cross-Strait Intellectual Property Rights Protection Lecture Series, jointly held by Dacheng Law Offices, the Chinese Intellectual Property Protection Association in Taiwan, and Taiwan's National Chengchi University Graduate Institute of Intellectual Property, came to its Xiamen Stop. This is the seventh stop for the series, following Beijing, Shenyang, Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing, and Shanghai.
 
Cross-Strait legal professionals held an in-depth discussion on cross-Strait intellectual property rights protection and cooperation, enhancing cross-Strait enterprises’ awareness of protecting intellectual property rights protection and sense of urgency, and other issues.
 
Representatives of Xiamen,People's Government Taiwan Affairs Office, Xiamen Municipal Intellectual Property Office, Xiamen Municipal Bar Association Intellectual Property Committee, Xiamen University School of Law and other relevant organizations attended the lecture.
 
Dacheng Partner Zhang Hongming hosted the lecture. Director Guo Yongming of Xiamen Municipal Intellectual Property Office gave a presentation titled “Xiamen Intellectual Property Protection Regulations and Policies”. Dacheng Taiwan Branch Office Associate Wei Yilong and Professor Feng Zhengyu gave a presentation titled “Discussion on the Protection of and Cooperation in Cross-Strait Intellectual Property Rights” and “Legal Aspects of Mainland Enterprises Investing and Purchasing Products in Taiwan” respectively. Dacheng Xiamen branch Partner Zou Rongbiao of the Intellectual Property Division made a speech titled “Discussion on the Protection of and Cooperation in Cross-Strait Intellectual Property Rights -- Practical Operation Perspective”.
 
The lecture helped relevant enterprises realize the importance and benefits of intellectual property rights protection to the development of enterprises. The business representatives in attendance gave the lecture high marks and hoped Dacheng will continue to take full advantage of its global network and host more and better activities in the future.
