Dacheng Attorney Attented the 1st Sino-Japan Seminar on Corporate Legal Affairs Upon Invitation

On May 24th and 25th 2013, Xu Yongqian, senior partner of Dacheng, attended the 1st Sino-Japan Seminar on Corporate Legal Affairs at Kyoto University of Japan upon invitation. Attendees from China included Wang Baoshu, a professor from Tsinghua University and Director of Commercial Law Research Center under China Law Society, Professor Zhu Ciyun from Tsinghua University, Professor Jiang Daxing from Peking University and attorneys from Dacheng. Professor Hideki Kanda, Professor Keiichi Karatsu, Professor Hiroyuki Kansaku and Professor Tomotaka Fujita who were all Japanese corporate law experts from Kyoto University also joined the seminar.
 
The seminar centers on legal researches concerning business transfer, exchange of shares, transfer of shares and corporate division. It aims to improve China’s relevant systems by comparing and understanding corporate laws of the two countries. During the seminar, both sides gave brief introductions to the systems related to corporate law and had a joint discussion to deepen understanding of their respective systems and other issues.
 
Attorney Xu Yongqian also exchanged in-depth views with attorneys from Nishimura & Asahi—Japan’s largest law firm—on practical issues concerning corporate law.
