Fangyuan Magazine Recently published the winners of 2012 China Top 50 IPO Firms following a survey launched collectively by the magazine, Sina Finance and Hexun.com. Dacheng came in seventh on the list.
The month-long survey scrutinized domestically and overseas listed companies’ information release and CSRC data for 2012 to screen candidate firms. Questionnaires which mainly examined such metrics as quantity of IPO deals represented by the candidates, fundraising volume and the complexity of listing at specific stock exchanges, in view of the breadth of securities and capital market businesses, were then sent to the 130 candidates. Provided performance under these metrics were approximate, the surveyor would refer to the number of 2012 domestic and overseas IPO transactions where candidate firms acted for the underwriters or sponsors, performance in such other sectors as refinancing, debt issuance, M&A and restructuring and securities investment funds, previous performance rankings related to securities transactions, numbers of IPO applicants on CSRC’s waiting list, numbers of partners and lawyers occupied with securities transactions, as well as other factors such as firm brand, size and offices distribution.
The assessment ranked Dacheng the seventh among 2012 China Top 50 IPO Firms, because in 2012, it has advised ten companies on successful domestic and overseas IPOs and also, securities is a core practice area Dacheng aims to grow.
