PengXuefeng Attends CPPCC Standing Committee Plenum and Delivers Keynote Speech

On November 19 2013, PengXuefeng, member of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC and chairman of Dacheng, attended the third plenum of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC and delivered a keynote speech on the independentexercise of judicial power according to law and safeguarding judicial justice.

Mr. Peng’s speech centered on the elimination of provincialized practice and interventionist administrative powers in administering law as well as the standardization of the exercise of judicial power. He suggested upholding the guiding principles outlined in the third plenum of the 18th CPC Central Committee relating to the exercise of judicial power.

The plenum was attended by: Yu Zhengsheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and president of the CPPCC; Liu Yunshan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee; CPPCC vice-presidents Du Qinglin, Han Qide, Wan Gang, Lin Wenyi, LuoFuhe, He Houhua, Zhang Qingli, Li Haifeng, Su Rong, Chen Yuan, Lu Zhangong, Zhou Xiaochuan, Wang Zhengwei, Ma Biao, Qi Xuchun, Chen Xiaoguang, Ma Peihua, Liu Xiaofeng and Wang Qinmin.
