Dacheng Attorneys Attend 2013 Annual Meeting of Hong Kong (Regional) Chamber of Commerce in China-Shanghai

On November 12, attorneys from Dacheng Shanghai office attended the 2013 annual meeting of Hong Kong (Regional) Chamber of Commerce in China-Shanghai (thereinafter referred to as “the Chamber”) upon invitation at New World Shanghai Hotel, to oversee the Chamber’s 2014-15 executive committee election. Over a hundred institutional and individual members of the chamber participated in the election.

As a member of the Chamber and scrutineer of the election, Dacheng Shanghai office, represented by a team led by senior partner Wang Weidong, made ample preparations for the assignment. Attorney Wu Qing from the finance practice, selected to be the scrutineer and witness of the election, delivered attestation on the voting process based on “Regulations of Hong Kong (Regional) Chamber of Commerce”and supplementary provisions while abiding by professional and ethical standards recognized and accepted in China’s legal profession. The election produced ten members for 2014-15 executive committee of the Chamber.

The Chamber, set up in 1996, brings together over 700 well-establishedenterprises and elites from Hong Kong who aredoing business in Shanghai. It is a community with much vigor and influence.
