Dacheng’s Charity Campaign for Helping Children in Yushu Ends Successfully

On October 24 2013, with the last batch of packages duly delivered to the Juela Primary School for the poor and the orphaned in Nangqen County of Yushu, Qinghai, Dacheng’s donation campaign for helping children in remote mountainous areas ended as a great success. The campaign was initiated collectively by Dacheng Charitable Foundation, capital market practice and corporate practice from Dacheng’s headquarters, Dacheng’s Xining office, Xi’an office, Urumqi office, Yinchuan office and Lanzhou office (inpreparation).
 
Organizers of the donation altogether received 1717 pieces of goods and up to RMB100,000 of cash from fifteen of Dacheng’s offices based in Beijing, Shenyang, Suzhou, Ningbo, Nanjing, Tianjin, Kunming, Xiamen, Xining, Qingdao, Changchun, Xi’an, Zhuhai, Changsha and Wuxi. The donated items, including clothing, school things, sports goods, goods for daily use were sent to the Juela Primary School, and the same sorts of items bought with donated money were sent to two primary schools in Zadoi County of Yushu. Newly bought desks and chairs, bookcases and cotton-padded clothes were also delivered to Juela Primary School.
 
On September 9-12, Mr. Li Junping, senior partner and head of Dacheng Charitable Foundation, Ms. Zhang Hong, senior partner, head of the Beijing office’s corporate practice and one of the main organizers of the donation campaign, Mr. Liu Qiang, senior partner and head of the Xining office, and Mr. Wang Wenyong, senior partner and organizer of the donation campaign travelled to Yushu (an autonomous prefecture of Qinghai) and distributed the donations to the children there together with staff from the local education bureaus and schools, following the arrival of the first batch of packages. The team of four took this opportunity to understand the most urgent needs of the children and schools, so as to make more sensible donation plans in the future. Their participation was warmly welcomed by the children and school staff there.
 
People from Dacheng have been supporting the campaign from beginning to end. Thanks to their generosity and altruism, children in those schools can be better clothed and prepared for this winter and better equipped for their study. The campaign is another beautiful stroke in the records of Dacheng’s charity cause.
