Dacheng Xiamen Office Selected as Legal Counsel by Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company

On December 13 2013, a service contract was signed by Dacheng’s Xiamen office and Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company (“FREP”) in which it was agreed that Dacheng would act as FREP’s legal counsel on matters related to maritime law and admiralty law, intellectual property and international trade. The joining of hands was initiated by attorney Guo Hongqing and would be carried through by six attorneys from the Xiamen office, including attorneys Wang Darong, Zeng Zhenqiu and their teams.
 
FREP, based in Quangang District, Quanzhou City of Fujian, was a large-scale joint venture invested collectively by Fujian Petrochemical Company Limited (50% of equity), Exxonmobil China Petroleum and Petrochemical Company Limited (25%) and Saudi Aramco Sino Company Limited (25%), with a total investment of RMB40bn. The company aims to become an integrated world-class, high-tech petroleum and petrochemical producer.
 
The successful inking of the contract is a symbol of Dacheng’s competitiveness and development opportunity brought by its team building and professionalization efforts. It also ushers in a new mode of team cooperation.
