Dacheng attorneys Attend Annual Legal Counsel Meeting of Stryker

Recently, a Dacheng team composed of Shanghai-based senior partners Sun Qingnan, Zhang Genwang and Changzhou-based partner Huang Zhimin (who is also director of the Changzhou office) gave lectures on anti-bribery and anti-corruption for Stryker Corporation, a Fortune 500 medical technologies firm. Thirteen people from the legal and compliance department of the company, including its vice president (who is also legal director), general counsel, chief legal officer, legal counsels from operations in the US, India, Japan and China attended the meeting. Senior partner Dai Jianmin from Dacheng’s Shanghai office and First Law International coordinated the event.
 
Mr. Sun Qingnan introduced to the guests Dacheng’s advantage in locations and expertise, and Mr. Huang Zhimin expressed goodwill in Stryker’s plan to operate in Changzhou (In this January, Stryker acquired Changzhou-based Trauson Holdings Company Limited). Mr. Zhang Genwang delved into China’s legislation on anti-bribery and anti-corruption and its developments and offered a variety of solutions for realizing compliance and dealing with violations from the point of view of a labor law attorney.
 
Stryker highly commended the attorneys’ lectures, saying they provided new perspectives for the company’s legal and compliance work. At the end of the event, legal staff of Stryker expressed willingness to work with Dacheng in the near future.
