Recently, Mr. Tao Xinliang, head of IP department of Dacheng’s Shanghai office and dean of the School of Intellectual Property of Shanghai University, was appointed part-time professor of National Institute for Lawyers during his stay at the Institute in Baoding, Hebei, where he offered training courses for IP law practitioners. Professor Wang Hengqin, president of the Institute, met Mr. Tao and conferred a letter of appointment on him.
National Institute for Lawyers, founded in November 2012 with the approval from State Commission Office for Public Sector Reform, trains legal talents on high-end business and foreign-related legal practice, conducts theoretical research and foreign exchanges, provides ideological, political and professional ethics education in a bid to develop top-quality law practitioners.
On November 11-15, the Institute, commissioned by the Ministry of Justice, offered a series of courses for over 100 veteran IP law practitioners from all over China. IP law experts such as Wu Handong, Jin Kesheng, Ma Weiye, Tao Xinliang, Ouyang Ping, Ma Xiang, Li Decheng and Ma Dongxiao gave lectures to the trainees. Mr. Tao’s lectures centered on China’s legislation on trade secrets and lawyers’ litigation strategies.
