Dacheng Retained as Standing Legal Counsel for Crowdfunding (Shanghai) Assets Management Co., Ltd.

On March 21 2014, Dacheng senior partner Gao Mingfei accepted a mandate from Crowdfunding (Shanghai) Assets Management Co., Ltd. to act as its standing legal counsel. Ms. Gao would advise the company on its day-to-day operation, compliance and legal risk control.

Crowdfunding (Shanghai) Assets Management Co., Ltd., registered in Shanghai Free Trade Zone, is pioneering China’s crowd-funding business.

Crowdfunding is the collection of finance to sustain an initiative from the crowd by means of a web platform. The crowd, by making small contributions via group purchase plus subscription, finances the initiative and receives rewards or equity in return. A large proportion of such crowdfunding projects involve investor engagement to produce all-win results.

Ms. Gao, having been acting as standing legal counsel for a number of peer-to-peer (P2P) and third-party payment internet finance companies since 2013, has built up both knowledge and experience in internet finance. The mandate in question would further broaden Dacheng’s offering of service, particularly in the area of internet finance.
