Dacheng Awarded as One of ALB China’s Best Employers in 2014
Recently, Dacheng was awarded as one of China’s Best Employers in 2014 by
Asian Legal Business (“ALB”). The ranking results were published in the ALB June edition.
Dacheng is currently the largest law firm in Asia. Mr. Ma Jiangtao, senior partner and deputy head of Dacheng’s Standing Committee, said in an ALB interview that the key to retain talents is to provide young lawyers with sufficient room for development. He iterated it is performance and capability that determine whether a lawyer can get promoted to a partner. In Dacheng, every new lawyer can be trained in an all-round way, which guarantees his/her quick development. Ma also said Dacheng holds lectures and seminars for new lawyers according to their individual practice areas and every new lawyer is designated a mentor to offer him/her professional guidance. Moreover, they are allowed to choose their own development paths. If one is interested in another practice area and proves himself/herself capable, he/she will be encouraged to join a new team. Dacheng is also very supportive of its employees developing personal interests and hobbies. It has funded many recreation activities held within the firm.
