Dentons Attorney Attends Opening Ceremony of Italy Legal Year 2015 in Milan

From January 24 to January 27 2015, Dentons’ senior partner Wang Wei was invited to attend the opening ceremony of Italy Legal Year 2015 in Milan, Italy. Presided by Mr. Giovanni Canzio, president of the Court of Appeal of Milan, the event is regarded as one of the most important state affairs of Italy. Wang, being the legal counsel of KIP Pavilion Expo Milano 2015, was the only officiating guest invited by both the Court of Appeals of Milan and the Milan Bar Association, and was seated on the rostrum at the ceremony.

The legal year opening ceremony is a traditional national event celebrated by Italian legal community for over 150 years since the founding of the nation. As this year’s celebration is closely related to Expo Milano 2015, it has drawn extensive attention from all over the Italy. Attendees of this important event include: Italian Cardinal; the Prime Minister of Italy; mayors; the First President of Italian Supreme Court; the Prosecutor General of Italy; the President of Italian Constitutional Court; the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Justice; party leaders of Italy; Commander in Chief of Armed Forces; President of the Court of Appeal of Milan; President of Milan Bar Association; Governor of Lombardy Region; and well-known judges, prosecutors, entrepreneurs, attorneys from other countries.
