Shanghai-based Of Council Admitted ACICA Arbitrator
On February 24, Jun Wang, an Australian of council practicing in Dacheng’s Shanghai office, was admitted by the board of Australian Center for International Commercial Arbitration (“ACICA”).into ACICA Panel of Arbitrators and became a Fellowship member.
Founded in 1985, ACICA is the only international arbitration center and one of the key international arbitration centers in Asia Pacific. It is a founding member of and a driving force for Asia Pacific Regional Arbitration Group and the only statutory arbitration body authorized by the federal government of Australia to designate arbitrators according to Australia’s International Arbitration Law that took effect in 2010. The headquarters of ACICA is located in Sydney, with branch offices in Melbourne and Perth.
The ACICA Panel of Arbitrators is constituted of 110 most experienced international arbitrators and retired veteran justices of courts of final appeal from the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand. To be included into the panel, experience recognized by ACICA board in the area of international dispute resolution is the only important measure.
Jun Wang is the only ethnic Chinese born and raised in China that was admitted into ACICA Panel of Arbitrators and recognized as a Fellowship member. He is also the author of simplified Chinese version of“ACICA Arbitration Rules (Incorporating the Emergency Arbitrator Provisions)”.
