Dentons Lawyer Recognized by ALB Client Choice 2017

Recently, the Asian Legal Business (ALB), a well-known magazine in the legal profession owned by Thomson Reuters, released its Client Choice 2017 list. Dentons Shanghai-based Partner Dai Jianmin was among the 20 lawyers recognized by the ALB, and it was the second time Mr. Dai won this award.

Conducted by online questionnaires, ALB Client Choice 2017 survey collected hundreds of responses from in-house counsels, executives and third-party business consultants. It aimed to let the voices of clients be heard through this survey, and showcase the most popular elite lawyers.

With solid professional knowledge and excellent quality of practice, Mr. Dai is known to clients as "having rich theoretical and practical experiences related to antitrust practices, and capable of providing clients with high-quality legal services".

Mr. Dai serves as a part-time instructor at the KoGuan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, a member of the Asia Competition Association, an executive director of the Competition Law Research Association of the Shanghai Law Society, a deputy director of the Competition and Antitrust Practice Research Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association, and a member of the Antitrust Committee of the International Bar Association and the Competition Law Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association. Besides, he is also currently a Forbes China columnist.

Specializing in antitrust and competition, data and privacy protection, and investment and M&A, Mr. Dai has provided a number of well-known multinational companies ("MNC") and large domestic enterprises with legal services in these fields. One of the pioneering batch of lawyers providing antitrust and competition law services in China, Mr. Dai has under his belt over a decade of practical experience in these areas. At the same time, Mr. Dai has been providing legal services in terms of data and privacy protection as well as cybersecurity for many MNCs since 2012, accumulating a wealth of experience.

In 2013, Mr. Dai was named as "Top 10 Excellent Young Lawyers of Pudong New Area". In 2016, he was recognized as "Commended External Counsel" by In-house Community, and 2017 "Antitrust and Competition Leading Lawyers" by Asialaw Profiles (a subsidiary of Legal Media Group).
