Dentons China Welcomes the Fourth Batch of Hong Kong Young Law Students for Internship

Today, Dentons China welcomes six Hong Kong young law students from well-known institutions such as the University of Hong Kong, University College London, London School of Economics and Political Science and Durham University to receive a one-month training in Dentons China. This is the fourth time that Dentons China is appointed by the Ministry of Justice as representative law firm in Beijing to undertake the “Internship Program in Beijing Law Firm of the International Youth Law Exchange Union”.

In order to help the law students from Hong Kong better understand and familiarize with Dentons China, the firm held a welcome party for them, hosted by Zhang Zheng, deputy head of Dentons China’s Management Committee. Yuan Huazhi, head of Dentons China Real Estate and Energy Professional Committee, Li Shoushuang, deputy head of Dentons Capital Market Professional Committee, Dun Mingyue, head of Dentons Intellectual Property Committee, Song Yunfeng, head of Dentons China Capital Market Professional Committee, Du Jifeng, head of Dentons Real Estate and Energy Committee, and counsel Zhao Zhongxing will be the mentors of the internship program and provide one-to-one guidance to the interns. Some tutors have already had brief exchanges with the law students at the welcome party.

The International Youth Law Exchange Association Beijing Office Internship Program is a youth law student exchange activity jointly organized by the Ministry of Justice, All China Lawyers Association, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Justice and the China Liaison Office in Hongkong. As an industry representative, Dentons China has been appointed by the Ministry of Justice as the representative law firm for the internship program for four consecutive years.

The six mentors will provide professional guidance to those Hong Kong law students on the basis of their professional and high standard practice requirements and rich practical experience. The one-to-one mentoring method will enable law students to integrate into each team faster, so that they can understand the legal environment as well as the legal culture of the Mainland, leaving a colorful memory at the beginning of their career.
