On July 28, 2019, Wang Jun, Chairman of Dentons China Region Advisory Committee, attended the Fourth Five-year Plan Seminar organized by our Zhoushan office. The discussion focused on the recent development of the office, the ways of implementing the tasks set forth in the Fourth Five-year Plan, and the current problems and challenges faced by the office. The meeting was hosted by the office head Dong Jie and attracted several partners and associates.
At the meeting, Mr. Dong introduced the office’s achievements in recent years in the aspects of revenue generation, service offerings, specialization and awards and recognitions. On basis of the content and requirements of the Fourth Five-year Plan, the participants thoroughly exchanged and discussed issues of general concern of partners and associates, such as conflicts of interest, integration and specialization.
Mr. Wang acknowledged that Zhoushan office has been growing steadily and achieved remarkable results in integration and refined management. In recent years, the office has won many accolades, including “Renowned Law Firms in Zhejiang”, “Zhoushan Advanced Entities in Building Public Legal Service System” and “Outstanding Law Firms in Serving SMEs”, which have reflected the local government and the community’s recognition of our brand. He also proposed several requirements on the subsequent development of this office: first of all, more opportunities should be created for young lawyers to encourage them to participate in the management of the firm; secondly, encourage young lawyers to attend various activities of the internal professional committees according to their own areas of focus to promote exchanges and enhance their practicing skills through cooperation; lastly, the office need to strive for the standardization, integration and streamlined work of the firm and contribute to the enhancement of the firm’s core competitiveness.
