Anna Pukszto heads the Litigation and Arbitration practice team, while Cezary Przygodzki leads the Tax practice team at Dentons’ Warsaw office.
“The changes we announce today to key positions in two of our firm's leading teams are the result of an evolutionary approach and moves that have been worked on for some time, with one aim in mind – to provide optimal support to Dentons clients. Our planned strategic development coincided with the SARS-CoV-19 pandemic. We are fully ready to offer modern, multi-faceted advisory to entrepreneurial leaders looking for competent, experienced guides to point the way toward minimizing risks and securing business against the effects of the pandemic.
“I can say with satisfaction that both Anna and Cezary are experienced practitioners who will undoubtedly rise to the challenge and, with their extensive knowledge and understanding of the market, they will be able to support entrepreneurs and cement the foundations of commercial activity in Poland,” said Arkadiusz Krasnodębski, Managing Partner of Dentons.
Anna Pukszto has been with Dentons since 2000. She currently heads a 40-strong Litigation and Arbitration Team, while continuing to lead the Restructuring and Bankruptcy Practice Team at Dentons’ Warsaw office. Since 2018, she has co-headed the work of the Litigation and Arbitration Team together with Wojciech Kozłowski, who returned to the role of one of the Team's partners conducting civil cases before common courts and arbitration courts.
“My practice is one of the largest and highest-ranked litigation teams in our country, with excellent experience in conducting precedent cases. Our experience and involvement in supporting entrepreneurs in crisis situations is now becoming crucial. The impact of the economic slowdown caused by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic on the activity of customers from various sectors is already noticeable. On the one hand, there is growing demand for our advice in the field of dispute avoidance, i.e. aimed at resolving conflict situations in order to avoid court and arbitration disputes. On the other hand, if a dispute is inevitable, customers do not hesitate to take the decision to bring an action. Either way, they expect immediate support from us – and that is precisely what they receive,” said Anna Pukszto.
Cezary Przygodzki, who has been with the firm since 2009, has headed a tax law team of over 20 people. Until now, he co-managed it together with Karina Furga-Dąbrowska, who is still a partner in the Team and serves as Chief Mindfulness Officer in the European offices of Dentons.
“Our law firm has one of the largest and most dynamically developing tax practices on the Polish market. We place particular emphasis on offering innovative services of the highest quality. My assuming the role of leader of the tax practice, my promotion to the position of partner alongside Dariusz Stolarek and my recent promotion to managing counsel all reflect the strategic development of our team and are proof positive that the great potential of the team members is recognized.
In the context of the ongoing crisis, fiscal and aid issues—such as grants and other forms of non-commercial financing—will grow in importance as elements of financial liquidity in companies. Thanks to the diverse competencies of our team and seamless cooperation with other Dentons practitioners, we are able to offer a unique consulting offer in these challenging times.
