Following his recent Insight article on President Trump’s Presidential Proclamation suspending the entry of certain non-immigrants, Dentons’ partner Henry Chang was quoted in multiple media about the new proclamation and its implications.
“We (…) believed that the presidential proclamation did not apply to (Canadians). Unfortunately, in the absence of clear guidance on this issue, the position taken by United States Customs and Border Protection varied from port to port,” said Henry Chang in an article from The Globe and Mail published on June 24, 2020.
"Fortunately, [U.S. Customs and Border Protection headquarters] has now confirmed that the proclamation does not apply to Canadian citizens and has apparently informed the local ports of entry of this fact," said Henry Chang is an article from CBC news, also published on June 24, 2020.
Henry Chang also appeared in articles from Forbes, Toronto Star, Global News, National Post, the Epoch Times, Radio-Canada and La Presse.
