Dacheng Lawyers Secure Complete Victory in Independent Arbitration Cases including Proceedings in Singapore

Recently, lawyers from Dacheng Law Offices Beijing Head Office achieved a full victory in an international trade arbitration case administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. The arbitral award fully upheld the client’s claims for principal, interest, attorney’s fees, arbitration fees and relevant costs, and has now taken legal effect. This marks another successful case independently handled by Dacheng’s lawyers, following prior winning arbitration proceedings in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and other regions.

This case was headed by Zhu Yongrui, Senior Partner of Dacheng Beijing Head Office, and undertaken by Dong Yining, Partner, and Zhu Zelun, Associate. Liu Rongqing and Zou Zhiqiang, Senior Partners of Dacheng Shanghai Office, provided strong support for the teamwork. The dispute arose from a medical equipment sales contract between a well-known domestic enterprise and a South Korean company. The arbitration was conducted in English in Singapore in accordance with the rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.

Over the past year, Zhu Yongrui and his team have independently represented clients and obtained complete victories in a series of arbitration cases: a dispute over aircraft procurement and technical cooperation between a domestic aviation enterprise and a Swiss aircraft manufacturer, arbitrated at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre under Singapore law; a mining development project dispute arbitrated at the London Court of International Arbitration under Hong Kong and English law; a cryptocurrency dispute heard at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre pursuant to Hong Kong law; a cross-border energy infrastructure dispute of a central enterprise in Vietnam, arbitrated at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre under Vietnamese law; and a competition restriction dispute between a Chinese enterprise and a Canadian company arbitrated at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre under English law.

This victory demonstrates that Dacheng’s international arbitration team has grown fully competent and capable of independently handling legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
