Embracing the Law to Seize Opportunities, Leading the Future with Intelligence—Celebration of the 15th Anniversary of Dacheng Kunming Successfully Held

Time flies, and with a journey full of splendor, Dacheng Kunming has been rooted in Yunnan for 15 years. On April 26, 2025, the 15th anniversary celebration of Dacheng Kunming commenced grandly at Wanda Vista Kunming. Over 800 attendees gathered, including principal leaders from Dacheng's management bodies and branch offices, colleagues from Yunnan's legal profession, and all firm employees. Together, they witnessed Dacheng Kunming's 15-year journey of development and engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as AI integration within the legal industry and Party building within law firms. This event served as both a grand gathering of legal elites and a significant platform for exploring the fusion of legal expertise with scientific and technological advancements.

 

 

The celebration ceremony started with a thematic exchange on "AI Empowering the Legal Profession."

Yuan Huazhi, Director and Chairman of the Board of Dacheng Law Offices, delivered a speech. He stated that the rapid advancement of AI technology is currently reshaping industries across the board in a disruptive manner, and the legal service sector is no exception. As legal practitioners, we must not only uphold the spirit of the rule of law and maintain professional integrity but also proactively embrace technological transformation. With the wisdom of "embracing the law to seize opportunities," we will secure a high ground for future development. Dacheng Law Offices began developing and utilizing its OA system as early as 2005, making it one of the first law firms nationwide to comprehensively leverage IT to support legal practice and firm management. For 20 years, Dacheng has strived to keep pace with the times, continuously upgrading its IT systems. The current management of Dacheng has designated "digitization and innovation" as a crucial pillar for achieving the firm's eight strategic objectives in its new phase of development: professionalization, scale expansion, internationalization, branding, digital intelligence, integration, platform-based development, and ecosystem building. Li Hao, Professor at Yunnan University, Standing Committee Member of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA), Member of the CDNCA Central Committee's Science and Education Committee, and Vice Chairperson of Yunnan University, delivered a presentation titled "New-Generation AI Empowering Transformation and Upgrading in the Legal Industry." He outlined the underlying logic and developmental history of AI large models, as well as the core functions, application scenarios, and strengths and weaknesses of major global large models. He focused on explaining the technical route for legal vertical models, constructing domain-specific knowledge graphs for legal fields, building industry-specific vector repositories, and developing industry-specific retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems. Moreover, he proposed strategies and recommendations for individuals and law firms to adapt to AI, offering forward-looking analysis and discussion on social development and challenges in the AI era.

Yuan Feng, Secretary-General of the Information Committee of the All China Lawyers Association, Director of the Information Committee of the Guangdong Lawyers Association, and Partner of Dacheng, delivered a presentation titled "The Path to All-in-One Development for Law Firms in the Context of AI." Focusing on the practical implementation of AI technology within law firms, he explored "how to translate technology into tangible application scenarios and real-world practice for generating actionable solutions and delivering viable products." He shared insights on "how to deeply integrate informatization, digitization, and AI, with a focus on unifying 'business, finance, and intelligence' as the core and adopting personalized management models as the pathway, to develop an 'all-in-one' solution. The solution aims to break down operational and data silos between law firms, individual lawyers, and legal teams, enabling seamless data flow and intelligent data circulation throughout the process. Additionally, it facilitates the compensated dissemination and inheritance of knowledge achievements, promotes the transformation of legal services, and establishes a virtuous ecological cycle."

Ma Wei, a member of Dacheng's Board of Directors and Director of Dacheng Kunming, delivered a presentation titled "Exploring and Implementing a Holistic Approach to AI-Empowered Legal Services." Drawing on his leadership in Dacheng's digital transformation initiatives and Dacheng Kunming's localized deployment of large models like DeepSeek, he analyzed cutting-edge trends in AI applications within the legal service industry and their role in transforming legal service models and ecosystems. He also elaborated on key factors for AI implementation in law firms and the legal profession, engaging in in-depth discussions on topics such as "integrating premium resources to achieve coordinated development," "predicting core AI application scenarios," and "addressing transformative challenges in law firm operations and management in the AI era." He concluded by sharing practical insights and experiences regarding implementing AI within law firms through the approach of "leadership-driven initiatives + iterative rapid execution + full staff engagement."

In her presentation "Unlocking AI's Potential: Practical Applications for Efficient Legal Practice," Dacheng's Partner Liu Na explored AI's application potential in legal practice, addressing common concerns and misconceptions among lawyers at different career stages. By showcasing 20 specific application scenarios, she vividly demonstrated how AI could deeply integrate into daily legal work, effectively break through the inherent "knowledge barriers" in legal services, bridge information gaps, and empower lawyers to expand their professional boundaries. She also demonstrated how AI could enable lawyers to build structured, intelligent personal knowledge systems and drive capability leaps to become super-individuals. This approach precisely addresses current business pain points and core challenges, ensuring technology truly returns to its fundamental purpose: creating value for clients.

 

The grand event entered its solemn and enthusiastic celebration ceremony segment, with Dacheng Beijing and branch offices nationwide sending heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Dacheng Kunming via video. The 112-page Dacheng Law Offices (Kunming) 15th Anniversary Social Responsibility Report, comprising eight chapters, was officially released at the celebration.
