Jason holds dual qualifications in China and England & Wales, and is specialized in cross-border commercial disputes and transactions. With over 15 years of experience, he has successfully represented a diverse clientele and earned recognition as a trusted lawyer in international legal matters.  Jason's practice encompasses a broad spectrum of commercial litigations and arbitrations across multiple jurisdictions. He has adeptly represented both local and foreign clients in disputes spanning China, Hong Kong SAR, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Spain. His roles have included counsel, case coordinator, and China law expert witness. A focal point of Jason's dispute resolution practice is international construction disputes. He specializes in assisting prominent Chinese contractors in dispute avoidance and resolution for international construction projects. These projects encompass a wide range of sectors, including renewables, transport, sewage, and other critical infrastructure developments.  Jason provides strategic counsel to international and domestic clients on cross-border investments and mergers and acquisitions. He has successfully facilitated transactions involving diverse jurisdictions and industry sectors, offering tailored solutions to meet client objectives. Jason's cross-cultural competence is a cornerstone of his practice. He excels at understanding and addressing cultural and legal disparities that may arise in cross-border negotiations and transactions, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.

Represented a Chinese construction company in a SIAC-administered arbitration involving disputes arising from an EPC contract for a wind farm project in Vietnam;

Negotiated and resolved cost and time extension claims with the employer on behalf of a Chinese construction company in connection with a road construction contract in Georgia;

Served as the coordinating counsel for a leading Chengdu trading company, collaborating with U.S. local counsel on multiple litigations and arbitrations in New York and California stemming from the termination of a garment brand license agreement;

Acted on behalf of the de facto beneficiary of a Hong Kong-listed company in a Hong Kong High Court lawsuit arising from a dispute over control of an SPV registered in Seychelles, which held a majority of shares in the listed company;

Represented a Chengdu-based real estate company in a CIETAC arbitration against a Hong Kong-based hotel management company, addressing disputes arising from the termination of a technical service agreement and hotel management agreement;

Acted for a U.S. multinational company in a CIETAC arbitration against a local Chinese company, concerning disputes stemming from the performance of a distribution agreement;

Acted for a Chinese company in a trade dispute lawsuit in a Spanish court against a local Spanish company;

Represented a Singapore company in multiple lawsuits in China involving both the client and its China subsidiary, while coordinating with counsels in Hong Kong and Singapore on local legal proceedings;

Served as an expert witness for a Singapore client, providing expert opinions on Chinese law in a lawsuit in the High Court of Singapore;

Acted on behalf of the vendors in the sale of their majority shares in a hazardous waste disposal business in Sichuan to a Fortune 500 company;

Acted on behalf of HP Group Limited in the sale of its majority shares of Guangxi Zhongxin Terminal Limited;

Assisted a Chinese power company in its bid for the concession of a solar project in Myanmar;

Acted for Sichuan Energy Industry Investment Power Development Co. Ltd in conducting legal due diligence on a hydro-power and related infrastructure project in the Democratic Republic of Congo;

Assisted Sichuan Energy Industry Investment Power Development Co. Ltd's acquisition of shares in a hydro-power project in AJK, Pakistan.
