Mr. Zou Yi is a senior partner of Beijing Dacheng Law Offices,LLP(Nanjing), he is currently the director of the firm's Intellectual Property and Information Network Department.In addition, Mr. Zou Yi received the Master of Laws (LLM) from Nanjing University. Mr. Zou Yi has more than 30 years of legal experience. His main professional practice areas include copyright, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights and technological achievements, mergers and acquisitions and reorganization of non-listed companies, construction projects. What’s more, Mr. Zou Yi specializes in dealing with various types of legal issues in the field of communications and the Internet, TMT, e-commerce, and hi-tech business. In recent years, Mr. Zou Yi has specialized in data-related legal business, including data governance, data security compliance, personal information protection compliance, etc. In 2009, Mr. Zou Yi organized and personally drafted the Fixed Collection and Presentation of Electronic Evidence Operational Guidelines, which is the first operational guideline in the field, proposing how to fix the collection and use of electronic evidence in the case of the industry norms and standards for lawyers. In 2012, as the second author, Mr. Zou Yi participated in the preparation of the All China Lawyers Association's "Operational Guidelines for Lawyers Handling Electronic Data Business". Mr.Zou Yi was awarded the second "Excellent Young Lawyer of Jiangsu Province" (May 2007) and the "Top Ten" lawyers in Nanjing (2002-2004). Mr. Zou Yi is now the deputy director of the E-commerce and Information Network Committee of Jiangsu Lawyers Association; invited researcher of Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Cyberspace Governance Research Center; supervisor of the Internet Association of Jiangsu Province; deputy director/secretary-general of the Legal Services Committee; member of the legal expert pool of the Internet Information Office of Jiangsu Province and the Jiangsu Information Security Association; and a member of the Expert Committee of the China Information Security Law Conference. Mr. Zou Yi has also served as an arbitrator in Guangzhou, Nanjing, Qingdao, Jingdezhen and Jiujiang Arbitration Commissions. Mr. Zou Yi has edited Frontiers of Information Network and High-Tech Law (Volume Ⅷ) (Volume IX) Law Press, 2014-2015. Mr. Zou Yi has been serving some perennial legal adviser clients, including a provincial party committee network information office, a provincial communications authority, special communications bureau, a province involved in technology transfer and high-tech entrepreneurial services of a number of units; a number of listed companies, state-owned enterprises and their enterprises; foreign-funded enterprises and so on.
