Mr. Zhang graduated in 1992 from Peking University with a degree of bachelor of law. He received one-year common law training in London under the Lord Chancellor's Training Scheme for Young Chinese Lawyers 2003-2004. He worked in overseas law firms for eight years, including three years with Sit Fung Kwong & Shum solicitors (a local Hong Kong law firm) and five years with Minter Ellison Hong Kong office (an international law firm headquartered in Australia). He was an of counsel at JunHe LLP Shenzhen office before he joined Dentons in August 2016. Mr Zhang is fluent in both Chinese and English.

Mr. Zhang focuses on merger & acquisition, private equity investment, foreign investment and outbound investment. He was awarded as one of the Leading Foreign-related Lawyers of Guangdong Province by Guangdong Province Lawyers Association in 2017 and one of the Leading Foreign-related Lawyers of Shenzhen by Shenzhen Lawyers Association in 2019.
